a family history of Karting dating
back to the mid-60's with
Thomas' great grandfather, grandfather and then father it was really
no surprise when Thomas decided he'd like to try too. At the age of 7 years old Thomas decided to try both Karting and Moto-Cross and for two years he raced club days for both. Soon enough the time came to make a decision and Thomas chose karting and started competing the bigger meetings and entering Top Half and North Island Championship rounds. Thomas has been racing competitively now since 2005 and has rapidly moved up through the field through the cadet class [ages 6 - 12 years] and into the Junior Restricted Class [ages 10 - 14 years]. He has showed his potential in all his competitions throughout the North Island and is currently standing as one of the top six drivers in the country in the Junior Restricted Class. read more about Thomas McLean |
